A warranty should be readable in two minutes and honored without a phone tree. What follows covers every Echelon project, stated plainly.
for composite deck installations
for treated wood deck installations
The labor warranty covers structural workmanship and installation accuracy, including alignment with the 3D design approved prior to construction. If the finished build deviates from the approved scope, Echelon corrects it.
Coverage activates automatically on the project completion date. No registration required.
If a defect in the workmanship surfaces during the warranty period, Gil or Andrew addresses it directly. One call. No middlemen.
Every product Echelon installs carries a separate manufacturer’s warranty on materials. Coverage stays active because Echelon builds to each brand’s exact specifications on every project.
The specific terms for your materials are confirmed during the design consultation.
The freeze-thaw cycle, seasonal temperature swings, and spring melt place more stress on outdoor materials than most homeowners account for. Maintaining warranty coverage means staying ahead of that stress with a few habits that take minutes, not hours.
The cap layer on composite boards is what gives the surface its stain and fade resistance. Pressure washing at any setting erodes it. Clean with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and let the material perform the way it was engineered to.
Vinyl and aluminum hold up through Northern Illinois winters without much intervention. The damage usually comes from cleaning products: abrasives scratch the finish and open the surface to wear, which the railing was designed to prevent. Soap, water, and a soft cloth are all it takes.
When snow load and spring melt coincide, drainage channels carry a significant volume of water. An underdeck system manages water; it does not stop it. A seasonal inspection of the drainage points, particularly in spring after the ground thaws, keeps the system performing as designed and protects what is stored in the space below.
No surprise invoices. No mid-build payment requests outside what was agreed upfront.
Every project has its own material mix, and every material has its own terms. If something is unclear about what covers your specific build, reach out before anything else.
